Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) — Saskatchewan's provincial nominee program for skilled workers, students, and entrepreneurs
The SINP nominates skilled workers and entrepreneurs for permanent residence in Saskatchewan. The program offers multiple streams — from international skilled workers overseas to workers and students already in Canada. Our RCIC will identify your best pathway and manage your full application.

Overview
What is the SINP?
The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) is Saskatchewan's economic immigration program, operated jointly by the Government of Saskatchewan and the Government of Canada. It nominates skilled workers, students, and entrepreneurs for Canadian permanent residence based on their ability to contribute to Saskatchewan's labour market and economy.
The SINP offers something many other PNPs do not — multiple entry points depending on where you are in your immigration journey. Whether you are applying from overseas, already working in Canada on a work permit, studying at a Saskatchewan university, or working in a specific sector like healthcare, agriculture, or technology — there is likely a SINP stream that fits your situation.
For Express Entry candidates, the Saskatchewan Express Entry sub-category allows SINP to nominate candidates directly from the federal pool — and a provincial nomination adds 600 CRS points, virtually guaranteeing an Invitation to Apply at the next draw.
Fee update: Effective April 1, 2026, the SINP charges a $500 application fee and a $250 second review fee for all worker applicants. Applications submitted before April 1, 2026 are not subject to these new fees.
Program Categories
Which SINP stream applies to you?
The SINP is organized into four program categories, each with sub-streams targeting specific situations. Your eligibility depends on where you currently are, what you do, and whether you have a Saskatchewan connection. An RCIC can assess all of these factors in a single consultation.
International Skilled Worker (ISW)
The main pathway for skilled workers applying from outside Canada, or those in Canada wanting to use overseas experience. Uses a points-based selection grid (max 110 pts). Three sub-streams with different connection requirements:
Employment Offer sub-category
For workers with a valid job offer from a Saskatchewan employer in a high-skilled occupation. The job offer earns 30 points in Factor II — the highest single bonus available in the grid.
Occupation In-Demand sub-category
For workers in occupations that Saskatchewan has identified as high-priority. No job offer required, but your occupation must appear on SINP's in-demand occupations list. Saskatchewan connections (family, past work, past study) earn Factor II points instead.
Saskatchewan Express Entry sub-category
For candidates with an active federal Express Entry profile. SINP invites candidates whose profile aligns with provincial labour needs. A nomination through this sub-category adds 600 CRS points — virtually guaranteeing an Invitation to Apply.
Worker with Saskatchewan Work Experience
For workers and students who are already in Saskatchewan or Canada. These streams recognize that candidates with Canadian experience are well-positioned for successful permanent settlement.
Skilled Worker with Existing Work Permit
For high-skilled foreign workers with a valid work permit and post-secondary education, currently working in Saskatchewan or Canada.
Students
For international students with a valid Post-Graduate Work Permit (PGWP) who studied at a recognized Saskatchewan institution. Healthcare graduates also now eligible.
Agriculture Talent Pathway
For general farm workers, nursery/greenhouse workers, and food and beverage processing workers. Can also apply from outside Saskatchewan.
Health Talent Pathway
For physicians, nurses, and other healthcare workers with a job offer from a Saskatchewan health authority or employer. Can also apply from outside Saskatchewan.
Innovation and Tech Talent Pathway
For innovation and technology sector workers in 32 high-skilled occupations with a valid work permit. Can also apply from outside Saskatchewan.
Entrepreneur
For business people who plan to own and actively manage a business in Saskatchewan. Requires a business proposal, a minimum net worth, and a period of business establishment in Saskatchewan before nomination is confirmed.
Farm Owner and Operator
For experienced farmers who plan to purchase and operate a farm in Saskatchewan. Must demonstrate farming experience, financial capacity to purchase or lease farmland, and intent to farm full-time in the province.
Not sure which SINP stream matches your situation?
Many applicants qualify for more than one stream — or qualify under one stream now and a better stream in six months. A single consultation will map your exact pathway and timeline before you invest time or money in an application.

How the SINP International Skilled Worker points grid works
The ISW points grid scores applications out of a maximum of 110 points across two factors. Factor I covers labour market success — your education, work experience, language, and age. Factor II covers your connection to Saskatchewan's labour market. The minimum score to be considered varies by intake and sub-category.
Important: Factor II points for the Employment Offer sub-category work differently from the Occupation In-Demand and Express Entry sub-categories. The job offer bonus (30 pts) only applies under Employment Offer — the other two sub-categories use family, past work, and past study connections instead.
Factor I — Labour Market Success
Max 80 pts
Factor II — Connection to Saskatchewan Labour Market
Max 30 pts
Key difference from AAIP: The SINP points grid is more complex than Alberta's — it splits points between recent and older work experience, scores first and second language separately, and applies different Factor II rules depending on which ISW sub-category you use. A miscalculation here can mean submitting under the wrong sub-category or overestimating your score. Our RCIC reviews your full profile against all three ISW sub-categories before submission.
Points Estimator
Saskatchewan PNP Score Calculator
Estimate your SINP International Skilled Worker points before you apply. This calculator covers the ISW grid (max 110 pts). Use it to see your score under the Employment Offer sub-category — and find out where you stand before booking a consultation.
Note: Factor II points differ by sub-category. This calculator applies Employment Offer rules. For Occupation In-Demand or Express Entry sub-categories, Factor II uses family/work/study connections instead.
Select the option that best describes your connection to Saskatchewan. If you have a job offer, select that — it scores the full 30 points. Without a job offer, check family, past work, and past study connections.
Not sure about your work experience window or occupation classification?
The SINP splits work experience into two time windows and requires it to relate to your application occupation — a detail many applicants get wrong. A consultation with our RCIC ensures your score is accurate and your sub-category is right before anything is submitted.

Point values are based on the SINP International Skilled Worker Points Grid (current as of April 2026). Consult a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) for advice specific to your profile. Professional Support
Why SINP applications benefit from RCIC support
The SINP is more complex than most provincial nominee programs — with multiple sub-categories, two-window work experience scoring, and Factor II rules that change depending on which sub-category you use. Getting any of this wrong before submission can cost you points or route you into the wrong program.
Sub-category selection
Choosing between Employment Offer, Occupation In-Demand, and Express Entry
The three ISW sub-categories have different eligibility requirements and different Factor II rules. Some candidates qualify for more than one. Your score under each sub-category can vary by 15–25 points — making sub-category selection a strategic decision, not just a checkbox.
Occupation classification
Correct NOC code is critical for both score and eligibility
The SINP requires your work experience to relate to the occupation on your application, and some occupations are restricted or require Saskatchewan regulatory approval before you can apply. An RCIC confirms your correct NOC code and checks it against the SINP's occupation restrictions list.
Work experience documentation
The 5-year and 6–10 year windows need accurate start and end dates
SINP scores work experience across two separate time windows. Getting the split wrong — or counting periods incorrectly — is one of the most common errors in self-prepared SINP applications. We calculate your exact months in each window using your actual employment records.
Misrepresentation prevention
Errors — even unintentional ones — can bar you from Canadian immigration programs
A misrepresentation finding can result in a two- to five-year bar from all Canadian immigration applications. Our RCIC validates every field before submission, protecting you from errors that are very difficult to reverse once made.
